What is going on

The spring campaign runs from 1 October to 30 November with a gloss and treatment offer, a skin program bundle and a bridal styling push. The General Manager wants a roster that covers Thursday and Friday late trading and Saturday bridal bookings without breaching the award, a promotion plan for the campaign services and retail range, individual targets for each stylist and therapist, and a plan for supervising the two apprentices. The Roster and Training Matrix shows one first aid certificate overdue and a safety induction due for renewal, and nobody can be rostered onto chemical services without a current chemical handling record.

Your brief

Produce a campaign pack for the leadership meeting on 21 September containing a compliant roster, a promotion plan, individual targets, a training and supervision plan and a team meeting agenda, using the roster and training data and the retail range.

• Read the Work Health and Safety Policy and the training section of the Roster and Training Matrix and identify every staff member whose training status affects what they can be rostered to do.
• Build a six-week roster for October and November covering late nights and Saturdays, keeping to the award hours and breaks, and update roster patterns in the Roster and Training Matrix where they change.
• Book the overdue first aid renewal and the induction refresher as Training records with due dates, and confirm in the matrix that each person on chemical services holds a current chemical handling record.
• Write a promotion plan for the campaign covering the offer, the retail range, in-salon and social channels, and how each client conversation will be recorded on the client card.
• Set individual service and retail targets for each stylist and therapist using the department KPIs and the retail sales per client figure, and explain how they will be tracked each week.
• Check the Stock and Product Register for the campaign retail range and treatment products and flag any reorder needed before 1 October.
• Prepare the October team meeting agenda and minutes skeleton using the Salon Team Meeting Minutes Template, including safety, targets and apprentice supervision.
• Assemble the pack with a one-page summary for the General Manager and present it, recording the decisions and actions agreed.
