Plan week four of the yearling sale preparation for the Bellbrook draft
You are the Assistant Stud Manager at Nagambie.
What is going on
Twenty-four yearlings are in a twelve-week preparation for the January sale, including a draft of six owned by Bellbrook Bloodstock. Week four starts on 14 September 2026. The Stud Manager wants a written feeding, exercise and handling schedule for the Bellbrook six, a consignment paperwork checklist, and an owner update by 20 September. One yearling, Bellbrook Lass, is handling well, but two others are reported as behind on condition and one is difficult to catch. The stud book inspection of foals and yearlings is booked for 20 October, and vaccination and identification records must be complete before then.
Subject: Yearling sale preparation, week four plan
We have 24 yearlings in preparation for the January sale and I need a week four plan for the Bellbrook draft of six. Review each yearling's Horse Register entry and treatment history, write the feeding, exercise and handling schedule for the week, and prepare the consignment paperwork checklist. Bellbrook Bloodstock wants a written update by 20 September, so use the Owner Update Report Template. Note any yearling that is behind on condition or handling so we can adjust early.
Your brief
Prepare the week four schedule for the Bellbrook draft, identify yearlings that need a changed program, complete the consignment paperwork checklist, and write the owner update on the template, using the Horse Register and Treatment and Medication Log as your sources.
Work through it
You do not need to do it all. Doing a few of these will show you what the work is like. Your ticks and notes stay on this device.
