Lay up and cut the high visibility shirt order
You are a cutting room assistant working with the senior cutter.
What is going on
Work order WO-26-0424 for 900 Pinnacle Rail Services high visibility work shirts has been released. The marker is printed, the orange and navy poplin has been received and shade banded, but the certified reflective tape is still on order, so the Production Manager has decided to cut now and sew when the tape arrives. The cutting room has one band knife tagged out of service, which means all small parts must be cut on knife 1. The Production Manager wants the lay spread, the marker checked, the pieces cut and bundled, and the records complete by Thursday so the bundles are ready for the sewing floor.
Subject: Cut WO-26-0424 high visibility shirts this week
The Pinnacle Rail shirts are released and the marker is printed, but the reflective tape has not arrived so we can only cut, not sew. I need the poplin laid up and cut to the marker by Thursday so the bundles are ready when the tape lands. Please read the Lay-up, Marking and Cutting Procedure first, confirm the tech pack version on the work order against the register, and complete the cut record and a cut inspection in the Quality Inspection Log. Check the shade bands on every roll before you spread.
Your brief
Lay up, mark, cut, bundle and record the high visibility shirt order according to the Lay-up, Marking and Cutting Procedure, working safely with the equipment available, and hand over a complete cut record, bundle tickets and a cut inspection entry.
Work through it
You do not need to do it all. Doing a few of these will show you what the work is like. Your ticks and notes stay on this device.
