What is going on

Merriwa Homes has a kitchen due for installation at Lot 14 Clyde North on Monday 22 September. The job pack for JO-26-1042 holds the approved drawings at revision C, a hardware schedule and the customer's colour selections. The white melamine board is in stock but the supervisor has not yet issued a cutting list for the base and overhead carcasses. The beam saw, edge bander and assembly benches are available on Thursday. The panel saw had a kickback near miss last week and the supervisor wants to see push sticks used on every narrow rip. The units must be on the dispatch rack by Friday afternoon so Crew 1 can load on Monday morning.

Subject: Merriwa Lot 14 kitchen carcasses needed by Friday

The Merriwa Homes Lot 14 kitchen (JO-26-1042) has to be on the truck by Friday for the Monday install. I need you to work from the approved drawings in the job pack, prepare the cutting list for the base and overhead carcasses, run the board through the beam saw and edge bander, and assemble the units to the drawing. Complete the pre-start check on each machine before you start, and log any fault in the plant register. Update the job order status when the units are on the dispatch rack.

Prepare an accurate cutting list from the drawings, requisition the board and hardware, cut, edge and assemble the base and overhead carcasses to the drawing tolerances, complete all machine pre-start checks, inspect your work against the department checklist and update the job order.

Read the job order workflow procedure and the drawings in the JO-26-1042 job pack, and list every carcass with its overall dimensions and material.
Prepare the cutting list for all base and overhead carcasses, showing part names, finished sizes, edging and quantities, and have Tomasz Wierzbicki check it.
Complete a materials requisition form for the board, edging and hinges and give it to Kirra Belford in stores.
Complete the pre-start check for the beam saw and edge bander following the machinery safe operation procedure, and record any fault in the plant register.
Cut and edge the parts, using push sticks for narrow rips and keeping the dust extraction running, then assemble the carcasses square and to size.
Inspect each unit against the drawing and the department checklist, measure diagonals for square, and record any rework.
Update the job order record for JO-26-1042 to Ready for dispatch with a note of the unit count and any items outstanding.
