Perform a flight servicing on a piston trainer
You are a first year apprentice at the Sunshine Coast line station.
What is going on
Skyreach Flight Training needs VH-SFR, a single engine piston trainer, serviced and ready for a 10:30 am training flight. Work order WO-26-1195 has been raised for a flight servicing: engine oil level, fuel drain checks for water and contamination, tyre pressures, lights, and removal and recording of covers and blanks. The aircraft carries a deferred defect for a stiff pilot side window latch with a placard. Ella Rasmussen will check and certify your work, and after last week's pitot cover occurrence the station is strict about recording covers and blanks on the work order.
Subject: Flight servicing on VH-SFR before the 10:30 booking
Skyreach need VH-SFR serviced and ready for a 10:30 am training flight. Please carry out the flight servicing under work order WO-26-1195 following the task card: oil level, fuel drains, tyre pressures, lights, covers and blanks. There is a deferred window latch defect on this aircraft, so check the log before you start and make sure the placard is in place. Record everything on the work order and bring it to me to check and certify. Do not sign anything you did not do yourself.
Your brief
Carry out the flight servicing tasks on the task card safely and correctly, record each item as you complete it on the work order, check the deferred defect placard, and present the completed record and the aircraft to the licensed engineer for certification.
Work through it
You do not need to do it all. Doing a few of these will show you what the work is like. Your ticks and notes stay on this device.
