Attend a bulk carrier arrival as part of the mooring gang
You are the Mooring Gang Leader for the berth 4 arrival.
What is going on
A 230 metre bulk carrier is arriving at berth 4 at 0430 on Wednesday with the pilot boarding at 0330. Berth 4 has mooring dolphins, so Bluewater Petrel will run the head and stern lines while the gang works the wharf bollards. Four days ago a heaving line monkey's fist struck a gang member's helmet at berth 2 and the company has changed the stand-off rule. Sione Tupou's medical has expired so he is wharf duties only. The berth is inside the port security zone and every gang member must display a valid identification card. Kirsty Anand wants the toolbox talk prepared, the gang and line boat ready on station 30 minutes early, and the job closed properly.
Subject: Bulk carrier arrival berth 4, 0430 Wednesday
You are on the mooring gang for the arrival at berth 4 on Wednesday, job J-26-1180. It is a 230 metre bulk carrier with lines to the dolphins, so Petrel will be running the head and stern lines. Sione is wharf only until his medical is renewed.

Work through it
You do not need to do it all. Doing a few of these will show you what the work is like. Your ticks and notes stay on this device.
