Rework and quality check the Kestrel serum cartons
You are a bindery and packaging assistant.
What is going on
Job J26-4490, 25,000 serum cartons for Kestrel Cosmetics, is part way through finishing. The first 200 cartons off the folder gluer failed the crash lock base check and non-conformance NCR-26-120 has been raised. The folder gluer is tagged out because a forklift bent the infeed guard bracket, and the die maker is adjusting the crease depth. Mei-Ling Chau has asked you to hand fold and check the first 200 cartons, sign the sample, and record the finished count on the ticket when the gluer returns. The guillotine and guarding procedure applies to any machine work.
Subject: Kestrel serum cartons: gluer rework and quality check
The Kestrel serum carton job J26-4490 has a crease depth issue on the crash lock base and the folder gluer is tagged out until the guard bracket is replaced. I need the first 200 cartons hand folded and checked, the sample signed, and the finished count recorded on the ticket when the gluer comes back. Please work through the guillotine and guarding procedure before you touch anything and update NCR-26-120 as you go.
Your brief
Hand fold and check the affected cartons against the sample, record the rework on the non-conformance register, respect the tag out on the gluer, and update the job ticket with the finished count and the packing instructions.
