What is going on

The school holidays start next week and the kennels and cattery are at 94 per cent occupancy. The Boarding and Grooming Bookings system holds several requests that have not been confirmed, one because the vaccination certificate has not arrived. Animals arriving on Monday include a cat on daily thyroid medication, an anxious border collie and a bonded pair of cats booked for a fortnight. The grooming salon has a matted labradoodle booked and the puppy preschool runs on Tuesday evening. The supervisor wants every arrival planned, every feeding and medication sheet ready and every enclosure set up before the weekend.

We are heading into the school holidays and the kennels are almost full. I need you to work through the Boarding and Grooming Bookings system and confirm every request where the vaccination certificate has been sighted. The Hillcrest booking for Daisy cannot be confirmed until the certificate arrives, so please chase it politely. Prepare the feeding and medication sheets for the animals arriving on Monday, including Simba's thyroid tablet, and check that the cattery condos are set up for the bonded pair arriving on the 25th.

Read the vaccination and health screening section of the Infection Control and Biosecurity Policy and the check-in rules that apply to boarding bookings.
Review every record in the Boarding and Grooming Bookings system, confirm the requests where the certificate has been sighted and draft a polite message chasing the Hillcrest certificate.
Prepare a feeding and medication sheet for each Monday arrival, including the thyroid tablet dose and time for Simba and the anxiety notes for Ruby.
Plan daily enrichment for boarding dogs and cats over the fortnight and describe how you will monitor appetite, toileting and behaviour each day.
Set up the cattery condo for the bonded pair and the kennel away from the road for the anxious dog, and record the enclosure allocations in the bookings notes.
Plan the matted labradoodle groom: check the record for owner consent to a short clip, choose the hygiene and coat steps and note the health check on arrival.
Complete a pre-peak hazard walk of the kennels, yards and salon and enter any hazards in the WHS Incident and Hazard Register.
